The China Volkssport Association (CVA), the China headquarters of the International Volkssport Federation, along with its official website “China Hiking Network,” will make their first appearance at the 2013 Asia Outdoor Exhibition from July 24 to 27. Combining an exhibition area, lectures, press conferences, and investment attraction events, they aim to promote the concept of all-encompassing outdoor activities. Along with the approach of the 14th International Volkssport Olympic Games in 2015, they also bring a powerful and disruptive influence to the Chinese lifestyle.
In 2002, with the efforts of senior hiking experts and enthusiasts both in China and abroad, the Beijing Daily Hiking Sports Center was established, introducing a brand-new concept of hiking. In 2004, it joined the International Volkssport Federation (IVV) and became its China headquarters, known as the China Volkssport Association (CVA). In the same year, the “China Hiking Network” was launched. The hiking philosophy of CVA is to encourage people to embrace the outdoors and connect with nature through the simplest form of movement—walking. It promotes physical and mental health, a fashionable lifestyle, and has the lifelong goal of advancing society, preserving national culture, and creating greater value.
