Who says Neihu is just a mass of gray? Its stunning lakeside mountain scenery is actually super dreamy, featuring vast lawns, mirror-like lakes, and bridges so beautiful they’ve gained international attention. ETtoday EBC has specially compiled a list of Neihu’s 3 most popular parks along Taipei MRT’s Wenhu Line. Why go far for picturesque photos when you can head to Neihu for a hike and picnic this weekend!

Dagouxi Eco-Flood Control Park

Imagine stepping just 10 minutes from Dahu Park MRT Station and finding a huge expanse of grass and floral carpets. This water-friendly park not only features lush green lawns but also streams, walking trails, pavilions, and small bridges. The clear stream allows you to see fish swimming beneath and observe the area’s rich ecosystem.

The walking trails in Dagouxi Eco-Flood Control Park are gentle and pleasant to stroll along. There’s a pavilion at both the start and along the path, making them great spots for resting, chatting, or having a picnic. Find the trails too easy? They connect to three other paths—Bi Lake, Yuanjue Temple, and Carp Mountain—offering diverse forest scenery to suit all preferences.

Transportation: Take the Wenhu Line MRT to Dahu Park Station, enter via Section 131, Dahushan Road near Dahu Villa, and after passing Dahu Elementary School, you’ll arrive at the water-friendly park.

Bi Lake Park

Just a 10-minute walk from Wende MRT Station, Bi Lake Park features a crystal-clear lake called Dapi Lake, set against surrounding mountain views for breathtaking scenery. There’s also a zigzag bridge, pavilions, and a lakeside walking trail, making it a top leisure and picnic spot for locals. In spring and summer, the park bursts into bloom with seasonal flowers like fringe tree, golden rain tree, flame tree, and bald cypress creating a stunning visual tapestry. The park also has six hiking trails dotted with rest pavilions, offering a serene escape.

Dahu Park

Known as Taipei’s most beautiful park, Dahu Park’s “Ribbon Bridge” is famed for its beauty and gained international fame thanks to a photo taken by a foreign photographer—it’s definitely a must-visit when in Taipei. The park is conveniently located right at Dahu Park MRT Station on the Wenhu Line, and even before exiting the station, you’re greeted by incredibly soothing lake and mountain views that instantly melt away stress.

Besides the picturesque lake and mountain scenery, the park also offers a large lawn perfect for picnics and play. When trees such as bald cypress, golden rain tree, azaleas, and hibiscus are in bloom, the poetic ambiance reaches its peak.
