On a steep ridge, photographer Dan Eck walked naked for nearly 100 meters.
“Many people climb snowy mountains to feel the power of nature and express their awe. My goal in being naked on the summit was to experience that feeling more intensely, to show the world how fragile and small humans are in the face of nature,” Eck said.
Eck successfully reached the summit before dawn, walked naked for nearly 100 meters along the steep ridge, and then embraced the dawn with every inch of his skin. All of this was fully captured through the lens.
“I was previously very worried about getting frostbite all over my body from being naked on the summit, but in reality, it wasn’t that bad. Standing barefoot on the snowy mountain peak felt really good, giving a sense of freedom.”
