Opened just this August, the Zhangjiajie Skywalk stretches 430 meters long and 6 meters wide, suspended approximately 300 meters above the valley floor. Walking on its transparent glass floor makes your legs tremble as you gaze down — it’s like walking mid-air, with a thrill level of 100%.

9. Jinshan Mysterious Coast

If you don’t want to go abroad, Taiwan itself offers many stunning hanging sceneries that are truly eye-catching. For example, the mysterious coast of Jinshan has recently garnered much attention, even breaking records in IG check-ins. 8. Pinglai Glass Bridge of Light

Located in Xinyi Township, Nantou County, the Pinglai Glass Bridge of Light features a glass walkway and is an 88-meter-long suspension bridge about 50 meters above the streambed. Just by looking down, you can take in the gorgeous valley views. It has also become a popular hanging attraction over the past two years. Though it can’t compare in scale to Zhangjiajie’s Skywalk, the experience of walking on the bridge is still incredibly thrilling.

7. Elephant Trunk Rock

Located at the rocky Shankou Cape, which is full of mushroom-shaped rocks, Elephant Trunk Rock was formed by years of seawater erosion, resulting in a sea cave at the edge of the cliff. The entire landscape resembles an elephant hanging its trunk, hence the name. Visitors can either take a direct photo with the rock from the cliff or use the height difference of the rocks to frame themselves inside the sea cave — both are common photography methods here!

6. Grand Canyon Skywalk in the U.S.

The Grand Canyon Skywalk in the United States is the world’s first cantilevered glass bridge. In a U-shape stretching along the canyon’s rim, the bottom of the walkway is around 20 meters from the edge of the cliff. Standing on the skywalk allows visitors to take in the panoramic beauty of Little Wulai from above. Extending 11 meters out from the cliff, not only can you enjoy unobstructed views of the beautiful mountain scenery and waterfalls, but also the uniquely charming arrangement of large rocks scattered across the stream.

1. Dragon-Phoenix Waterfall Aerial Corridor

The Dragon-Phoenix Waterfall Aerial Walkway, which has been in operation since last year, is located 5 meters above the source of the Dragon Waterfall. Designed with inspiration from the Grand Canyon Skywalk in the U.S., it stretches 30 meters in length and extends about 13 meters over the waterfall. The entire bridge features a transparent, suspension-free U-shaped walkway design. Standing at the outermost edge of the walkway, you can look down into a 50-meter-deep valley. The combination of being suspended in mid-air and the transparent flooring greatly tests visitors’ courage.
