One-ticket journey all the way: EVA Air and Air India launch codeshare flights to Mumbai

Traveling to India just got even more convenient.EVA Air today (28th) announced that starting December 1st, it will operate the Taipei–Mumbai route in a codeshare partnership with fellow Star Alliance member Air India, with EVA Air operating the Taipei–Bangkok and Taipei–Singapore segments, and Air India covering the Bangkok–Mumbai and Singapore–Mumbai legs.

EVA Air currently operates up to 24 weekly flights on the Bangkok route and 14 weekly flights on the Singapore route. With this codeshare partnership, passengers can choose daily flights via Bangkok or Singapore to reach Mumbai, with one-ticket convenience and through-checked baggage. This not only offers travelers greater flexibility and ease, but also strengthens the integration of EVA Air’s and the Star Alliance’s overall flight networks.

Mumbai is India’s economic hub and the home of Bollywood films. With a population second only to Chongqing in China, it is the world’s second most populous city and boasts uniquely rich cultural characteristics. This new codeshare service allows Taiwanese travelers to explore the city’s charm more conveniently. With India’s economy on the rise, it is also expected to attract more inbound tourism from India to Taiwan.
