Flipping through the My Thai Kitchen menu, which has a long, slim design, you’ll find simple text descriptions alongside a wide array of signature Thai dishes. The menu is neatly divided into noodles, rice, and three types of rice noodles (+NT$150 to upgrade to a combo that includes side dishes, drinks, or dessert). Unlike typical Thai restaurants, My Thai Kitchen focuses on individual servings paired with a few classic sides, making it ideal for solo diners or couples. This fresh take on Thai dining is simply awesome.

On this visit to My Thai Kitchen, Pingzi ordered two set meals for two people. The main dishes were the Ultimate Thai Seafood Tom Yum Rice Noodles (NT$580) + combo (money shrimp cakes, mango sticky rice) (NT$150), and Thai basil pork rice (NT$210) + combo (shrimp paste water spinach, purple yam with taro) (NT$150). She also ordered Thai milk tea for NT$90. The total came to just over NT$1,000. After ordering, they waited for the dishes to arrive.

Before long, the generous spread of Thai dishes Pingzi had ordered arrived—just looking at them lifted the mood.

Money shrimp cakes: Golden and crispy on the outside, they look absolutely delicious.

Biting into the money shrimp cake reveals a rich, hearty filling. Crispy and non-greasy, the portion size shows how much the restaurant values its ingredients. You can taste the natural sweetness of the shrimp, along with a soft, tender texture that’s crispy outside and fluffy inside. Dipped in the plum sauce on the side, it’s even more flavorful—you’ll definitely want another one.

Thai basil pork: Ground pork is pan-fried for a few minutes before being stir-fried. The initial frying removes the pork’s raw smell. Minced garlic and chili are then added to sauté before mixing everything evenly. Finally, Thai basil leaves are tossed in to complete this savory, slightly spicy dish. Though the method seems simple, making it delicious isn’t easy—but the version here is truly top-notch.

Just looking at the generous portion of Thai basil pork is comforting, and it’s packed with flavor. Paired with fragrant jasmine rice, it disappears quickly.

A side of fried sweet egg with roasted chili sauce comes with the dish. The fried egg white has a Q (chewy) texture with layers, while the fried part adds a slight crisp. The moist, runny yolk complements the sweet-savory sauce in a unique way.

The jasmine rice grains are firm and separate. Each bite offers a satisfying chewiness. When paired with the Thai basil pork, it takes on an extra layer of flavor. The hint of spice in the pork makes it especially delicious with rice.

This bowl ofUltimate Seafood Tom Yum Rice Noodles – NT$580is also a must-try among Thai noodle soups, combining sour, sweet, savory, aromatic, and spicy flavors in one bowl. The combo pricing makes it an incredible deal.

Just looking at the bowl holding this Ultimate Seafood Tom Yum Rice Noodles shows how deep and large it is—a very generous serving that gives off an upscale and great-value impression.

With its very generous portion size, it immediately catches your eye. Topped with an abundance of fresh seafood and plump shrimp on the side, and layered beneath with a full bowl of soup noodles, just looking at it promises a hearty and satisfying meal.

Featuring Hokkaido-grade raw scallops from Japan, complemented by squid balls, squid, and clams, this lavish seafood feast is visually stunning and incredibly appealing.

The large Penang prawns here are longer and bigger than the standard hundred-dollar coin — just looking at them makes your mouth water.

The rice noodles inside are fine and thin, paired with a tangy and spicy broth, along with plenty of enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and meatballs. It’s rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.

Mango Sticky Rice – 90 NTDA must-order dessert, coconut milk is its highlight. This sweet Thai dessert mainly consists of coconut milk, tapioca pearls, and other ingredients. Some versions also include tropical fruits like taro, sweet potato, rambutan, longkong, and jackfruit — one bowl is never enough.

Taro Purple Rice – 90 NTDIt features soft and glutinous purple rice with a lovely chewy texture, plus generous scoops of taro paste. The taro has a slightly firm bite without being too sweet or greasy. Pingzi really likes it, and the combination with purple rice makes it especially delicious. Sweet-tooths shouldn’t miss these desserts here — they’re not only scrumptious but also beautifully presented.

Thai Iced Tea – 90 NTDServed in a clear glass with ice cubes at the bottom, the outer surface of the cup fogs up, instantly signaling its refreshing nature.
