Snap it fast！Tokyo’s must-see landmark “Gundam in DiverCity” to be dismantled next March

Attention Gundam fans！The 18-meter-tall Gundam statue that has long been an iconic sight in Tokyo’s DiverCity will be removed in March 2017. The Gundam store located inside Diver City Tokyo Plaza will also close its doors in April next year. So if you want to take a picture with the giant Gundam, you’ll have to make the most of these last four months.
Since its installation in front of DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in 2009, the 18-meter-tall Gundam statue has instantly become a pilgrimage site for anime fans and a must-visit photo spot for travelers from Taiwan visiting Tokyo. However, according to Japanese media reports, the giant Gundam will say goodbye to its fans on March 5 next year, leaving DiverCity with one less attraction in the future.
