Floating drinks have evolved once again！Some vendors have replaced ice cream with 3D marshmallows. Not only do they look more three-dimensional, but they also come in cute animal shapes. When your eyes meet theirs, it’s as if the little animal figures are leisurely soaking in your drink, bobbing up and down and slowly melting away — the effect is simply beyond adorable, combining sweetness with an ultimate feel-good vibe.

Located in North District, Taichung, “Sen Bing” is not only famous for its macaron soft serve, but its floating drink series has also sparked heated discussions online. The reason? Just the overwhelmingly cute pure-white animal designs are enough to make many girls/boys fall for their charm.

All the marshmallows in the shop are exclusively handmade and designed, which allows for the perfect chewy texture ratio and unique shapes you won’t find elsewhere. When you press them with your fingers, they even bounce back. The vendor also makes the floating characters fresh on-site daily based on portion needs, with a firm commitment to no preservatives — hoping customers can enjoy them happily and safely.

Marshmallows come in two types: regular items and seasonal limited editions. There are five regular 3D marshmallow designs: Shiba Inu, teddy bear, puppy, seal, and kitty. Each cute animal has its own fan base, so none is especially more popular than the others. But the shop is currently promoting the Shiba Inu marshmallow, whose goofy look often wins over many visitors.

Many will order a matcha floating drink paired with the 3D Kappa marshmallow. Since they share a similar green tone, the melding is seamless. As it gradually sinks into the matcha sea, it creates an oddly soothing feeling.

During the recently passed Halloween season, Sen Bing launched themed figures such as Mr. Pumpkin, the Grim Reaper, and Senko. Combining East and West ghost concepts, netizens praised them as creative, charming, and not at all scary. Though currently out of stock, the vendor says these will likely return in the future in line with seasonal themes.
