The First Low-Cost Route to the "Oriental Hawaii" – Jetstar’s Inaugural Taipei-Da Nang Flight

Jetstar Pacific officially launched its new Da Nang-Taipei route today (December 2). The first flight from Da Nang to Taipei, carrying 180 passengers, flew nonstop to Taipei, becoming Vietnam’s first low-cost international air link between the two cities.

Jetstar Pacific announced the launch of this currently sole low-cost direct international route connecting Da Nang and Taipei in October, and today marked its inaugural flight. The strong passenger load factor indicates that this budget-friendly route will be popular among leisure travelers, Vietnamese citizens working in Taiwan, and business passengers alike.

The flight from Da Nang to Taipei (Flight No. BL162) departs from Da Nang International Airport at 11:00 AM local time, while the Taipei-bound flight (Flight No. BL163) takes off from Taipei Taoyuan International Airport at 3:40 PM local time. The one-way journey takes 2 hours and 35 minutes. The Airbus A320 operates the route three times a week—on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
