Mama’s Eggettes, which has been featured in the Michelin Guide’s street food recommendations in Hong Kong for three consecutive years, has made its debut in Taipei by opening its first overseas branch on Ximending’s Cinema Street. It not only imports key ingredients from Hong Kong to preserve the authentic essence of Hong Kong eggettes but also offers three customizable flavors and twelve topping options. The brand incorporates local Taiwanese ingredients, allowing consumers in Taiwan to create their own unique flavor combinations.

Mama’s Eggettes has established its first overseas branch in Ximending.

Launched last month in Taipei, Mama’s Eggettes offers three flavors—original, matcha, and coffee—along with twelve customizable toppings, including white sesame, chocolate chips, Wandan red beans, Green Giant corn, spicy flavoring, pineapple bits, banana, authentic Korean seaweed, Weifeng pork floss, double cheese, fresh salted egg yolk, and authentic Hong Kong-style roasted meats.

The crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside eggettes are best enjoyed within 5–8 minutes of purchase.

Among the toppings, the chocolate chips are made from Italian dark chocolate droplets, the matcha is sourced from Kyoto’s small Uji-en tea farm in Japan, and the coffee flavor uses UCC coffee, which has an 85-year history in Japan. The seaweed is imported from Korea. Other toppings feature local Taiwanese ingredients such as Weifeng pork floss, Hsinchu Fuyuan peanut butter, Wandan red beans from Pingtung, bananas from Changhua Cooperative Farm, and yellow lemons from Taitung, allowing Taiwanese customers to enjoy authentic Hong Kong eggettes alongside the rich flavors of Taiwan.

Summer-exclusive slushies paired with classic eggettes bring a full dose of Hong Kong flair.

Mama’s Eggettes also offers “grid cakes,” featuring two bases—traditional Hong Kong style and Italian Ferrero Rocher-inspired—totaling six flavors, along with ice cream and Hong Kong-style teas.

In addition to the well-known iced lemon tea, the menu also features the quintessentially Hong Kong drink “Lemon King Salty Lemon Seven,” and recently introduced summer-exclusive slushies such as salty lemon seven slush, Hong Kong-style thick milk tea slush, and freshly squeezed lemon slush.
