After seeing the online post, I couldn’t wait to get the materials after work and decided to give Xiao Xiaoyu a surprise tonight~~~XDDD

Pipe Transformation: A Super Easy DIY Toy to Make Kids Love Bath Time

Materials needed:

No need to buy a very large one, as pipes are light and a small suction is enough. The one I bought has a diameter of about 3 cm. If you pick one with a hole in the middle for threading a rope, it will just fall off once hung up.

I also prepared a funnel, which Xiao Xiaoyu absolutely loves!!

Electric drill, Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, hole puncher

:

On the side of the pipe, at the center, use a Phillips screwdriver or electric drill to make a hole, then push the suction cup into the hole—just that simple. The hole size should be big enough for the suction cup to go in but not come out easily.

We tried both tools. The electric drill is obviously easier, but the pipe is slippery and hard to hold steady, and though it may seem thin, it’s actually tougher than expected.

That’s why I say don’t get a thick one; otherwise, by the time the toy is done, your hands will be ruined too.” (Thanks to Xiaoyu’s dad, you really worked hard tonight!!)

The washing machine drainage pipe is much simpler—it’s thin, and you can easily punch a hole with a hole puncher.Once the hole is drilled, use a flathead screwdriver to help push the suction cup in, and it’s done.

As for the funnel, it already has a small hole at the back, which is just the right size to fit the suction cup.

Xiao Xiaoyu already loved playing with water, often staying in the bath until the water turned cold before getting out. With these new props today, she went totally wild!!!

Oh, and I also made water balloons from free balloons I picked up on the street. They’re squishy and super bouncy, won’t pop easily in the water, and are a lot of fun too.

The shower cap I got from the hotel can also become a toy. Xiao Xiaoyu loves filling it with water and pretending she’s dumping kitchen waste~~lol

With just a bit of thought and time, you really don’t have to spend much to keep kids super entertained. I recommend sticking some non-slip pads at the bottom of the tub so the little one doesn’t slip when having too much fun~~XD
