Good news for kids – Up, up, and away during the Children’s Day holiday season. Still wondering where to go? The Taipei City Children’s Month event offers a wide range of discounts for children under 12. As long as you're within the event period, just present your student ID, National Health Insurance card, or a Children’s Month flyer, and you can ride the Maokong Gondola for free, enjoy playtime at the Children’s Amusement Park, or even climb up to the Taipei 101 Observation Deck to take in the beautiful views.
“We want every day to feel like Children’s Day for kids!” A variety of fun activities have been planned throughout the month. Through collaboration with schools and extensive promotion, the hope is that children can create more wonderful memories this Children’s Day.
The Children’s Month activities are divided into various programs such as “Big Eyes See the World,” “Micro Dreams Travel,” “Little Designers,” “Different Cultures,” and more. These initiatives introduce children to cultural customs from different countries and feature many fun challenge games. Starting from March 28, the Little International Village Challenge was held at the National Taiwan Science Education Center, with 40 schools participating in setting up booths. On the day of the event, a child and one adult entering the Children’s Amusement Park could enjoy free admission.

Even better news for parents: if you bring your little ones out exploring during Children’s Month, on Children’s Day itself — April 4 — elementary school students with a valid student ID or NHI card can enjoy free entry when riding the Maokong Gondola or visiting the Children’s Amusement Park, Taipei Fine Arts Museum, and the Astronomy Science Museum. If students carry the Children’s Month flyer, they can also enter the Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines, Taipei 101 Observation Deck, and the National Taiwan Museum for free throughout April, ensuring that family outings don’t break the bank.
