During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, have parents thought about where to take their kids for a trip? This year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday runs from Friday, June 19th to Sunday, June 21st, totaling three days. To maintain smooth traffic on expressways, the National Freeway Bureau has planned several traffic management measures. We’ve compiled them for you below—pay attention before you travel to ensure a smoother journey!

(1) Toll Suspension: From June 19th to 21st, 2015 (104 year in Taiwan calendar), tolls on all national freeways will be suspended from 11:00 PM the day before to 6:00 AM on the day itself.
(2) Flat Toll Rate: A single flat toll rate will be applied on national freeways, meaning the daily 20-kilometer discount and long-distance discount will not apply. Regardless of distance traveled, the toll per kilometer is: NT$0.9 for small vehicles, NT$1.12 for large vehicles, and NT$1.35 for articulated trucks.
(3) Differential Tolling by Section: Outside of toll suspension hours, the National Freeway No. 3 section from “Hsinchu System to Yanchao System” will be charged at 80% of the flat toll rate.

(2) Northbound Direction: On the second and third days (June 20th and 21st, 2015), between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM, the northbound entrance ramps at the Su’ao, Luodong, Yilan, and Toucheng interchanges on Freeway No. 5.

(1) On Friday, June 19th, 2015, from 0:00 to 6:00 PM, the southbound entrance ramp at the Pingzhen System on Freeway No. 1 will be closed.
(2) On Sunday, June 21st, 2015, from 0:00 to 12:00 AM, the northbound entrance ramps at the Puyan System on Freeway No. 1 and the Zhunan interchange on Freeway No. 3 will be closed.
