Hey there~ Yummy ice cream, want a scoop?! While organizing photos, I realized I never shared this ice cream set I made ages ago. This toy was made by Mommy Bobo for a friend’s child several years ago, and later she made another set for herself to keep. The process is very simple, but it’s versatile and super fun to play with—highly recommended for moms planning to make homemade toys^^

Instructions:
Homemade Toy DIY—Felt Ice Cream Set1. Cut a large circle (it’s been so long, I forgot the exact size, roughly 13–15 cm or so—I think I used a plate as a stencil back then)
2. Use a gathering stitch to sew the circle into a bun-like shape.
3. Stuff with cotton—pack it in well for a better feel.
4. If you want patterns on the ice cream, do this before step 3. Since it’s for toddlers, Mommy Bobo didn’t use beads (worried they’d fall off) and instead used knot stitches instead.
5. Sew Velcro onto another small circle, then attach it to the ice cream ball to complete~
I also sewed an ice cream cookie cup (cut a larger circle, roll it into a cone shape, and sew it together). Back then, it was a gift, so I even arranged them neatly in a box. Later, because I liked it myself (and had too much free time, lol), I made another set to keep. But after keeping it, I totally forgot about it—it was stored deep in the closet. Luckily, when Bobo arrived, the long-forgotten ice cream set finally saw the light of day again.
Both kitty kids and human kids love playing with it~ Kitty Huoka bats the ice cream around like a ball with her paws. Human kid Bobo throws it around like a ball with his hands.
Later, I even made a special box to hold the ice cream set and sewed a sundae cookie cup (an irregular large circle with the bottom gathered and pinned). I also made an ice cream shop out of a cardboard box (even added wrapping paper~). In the end, little Bobo “opened shop” for less than ten minutes before he trashed the place—the products scattered everywhere, and he even stepped on and tore the shop apart… After that incident, all the little toys I make for Bobo are now mostly fabric-based (at least they can’t be ripped to shreds XD)
