When kids reach a certain age, they all start enjoying role-playing, pretending to be moms taking care of babies—dressing them up and styling them. So, Mom Lu invented this “doll transformation show,” which not only allows for role-playing but is also portable and quiet to play with anywhere. More importantly, it helps train those little finger muscles too~

The method is super simple—just use Mom Lu’s favorite material, DM (flyers), plus a rubber band, and you’re done in a flash. First, find appropriately sized outfit images from the DM, cut them out, then have your little one stick them onto cardboard. An adult can help cut out the images, while the child helps poke holes. Finally, let the child thread the rubber bands through themselves to complete the outfit. Isn’t it super easy? And you can always add new clothes or accessories later—whenever you see something you like, Mom Lu will cut it out and save it first.
Alright—then it’s time to play. Pick a small doll from home, and a transformation party begins. Want a date outfit? Sibling style? Or a spring outing look? Come up with your own theme, switch up the clothes and accessories, it’s really fun. Plus, the materials are free and eco-friendly, all easily found around the house. Dressing the dolls with rubber bands also trains those little finger muscles and adds a bit of challenge to the playtime—way more fun than traditional paper dolls.
Or, after setting a theme, you can even level up by creating themed games. For example, if the theme is “travel,” Mom Lu will DIY a suitcase + airplane using other recycled materials, letting the little one choose what to pack and take along on the trip. Then pair it with the DIY airplane for an even richer and more fun play experience.
