When traveling to "Miaoli," besides sampling Dahu strawberries and admiring the beautiful tung blossoms, tasting authentic Hakka cuisine and experiencing the local culture are also highlights not to be missed.

Located in "Gongguan, Miaoli," "Jujube Farm" has ample parking in its large outdoor lot, so finding a space is never an issue. As you enter, a spacious and tranquil courtyard greets you, with the outdoor area featuring quaint traditional farming artifacts. There are also adorable animal cutouts that add a lively touch.
The restaurant at Jujube Farm is a two-story building with a quaint, vintage design that gives it a strong old-world charm. The dining area mainly features round tables, with intentional spacing between them. On the day we visited, it remained fully booked, but despite the busy waitstaff moving plates around, the space never felt cramped.
There are two ordering options: à la carte or set meals.
We ordered the B-set meal for 5–6 people, priced at NT$1,900. Both the red date tea and red date rice could be refilled unlimited times.
They also provide children’s utensils and high chairs.
The red date tea has a smooth, mellow taste with a naturally sweet flavor.
Xiao Tao loved it too !
Preserved plum pork belly.
Red date steamed buns.
Place a few slices of preserved plum pork belly inside the red date steamed bun. The savory and sweet flavors blend perfectly, and the pork belly melts in your mouth—absolutely delicious !
Fried chicken.
Hakka dried bamboo shoots.
Plum sauce fish slices. The fish slices are crispy on the outside and tender inside, paired with a slightly tangy and sweet plum sauce that adds a refreshing taste.
Lamb with shredded ginger.
Stir-fried greens.
Seasonal soup.
Many dishes in this meal were great with rice. We were pretty full by the time we got to the plum sauce fish slices. After eating our fill, taking a stroll in the outdoor area helped with digestion.
Many kids love taking photos with the Jujube Farm mini train.
A little further ahead is the cute animal area.
In the cute animal area, you can feed rabbits, piglets, fish, and sheep.
Watching the adorable animals instantly melts away any worries.
Besides feeding the cute animals, there’s also a sandbox area with all kinds of sand toys prepared for the kids—a very thoughtful feature.
Before leaving, Xiao Tao’s grandmother bought her an ice cream.
It’s already so hot in April—we needed something cool to beat the heat !
Miaoli Gongguan is the Jujube Capital. Located here, Jujube Farm not only serves authentic Hakka dishes but also incorporates red dates into its cooking. With its petting zoo and sandbox area, it’s perfect for a family outing. Sharing this food review with everyone.
