Visit Chiayi’s “Meow Stars” 3D Paintings and Tour the Stiletto Chapel

Indeed, ever since the 3D painting village in Budaoli, Chiayi, became a new tourist attraction, various theme-based 3D interactive paintings have emerged all over Taiwan. These artworks share one distinctive feature — they emphasize interaction with visitors.

Although the “Love Story of the Meow Stars” is only about 70% complete at present, it has already drawn many people (including Sister Xi) to take photos and interact with the kitty cats. Alright then — with that much buildup, Sister Xi is taking everyone on a trip to Chiayi’s Budaoli to go appreciate the “Love Story of the Meow Stars.” Hehe, how romantic is that?!

The content of the “Love Story of the Meow Stars” centers around cats and depicts a series of love stories — from encounters and romance to marriage... hehe, so romantic, right? Currently, about more than half of the painted works are completed, spanning roughly 100 meters in total length.

Right, right?! Sister Xi hasn’t even officially started appreciating yet, but those kitty cats are already full of drama — it’s as if this one is about to start something with that one.

Cough cough, alright then... let Sister Xi tell you a love story of the meow stars. And the story begins with a roll of film, recording moments of encounter, understanding, cherishing, and happiness between two cats.

Even if we didn’t meet a second ago, we’ll meet in the next. I think this is fate, don’t you? Yes indeed — the “Love Story of the Meow Stars” has officially begun now.

The “Love Story of the Meow Stars” uniquely turns visitors into the main characters. As long as you follow the key elements of the painting, you can definitely blend into the artwork. Don’t believe it? Then keep reading on.

Hahaha, look at Sister Xi really hamming it up here — walking along like she’s pulling luggage and ready to drift through the world. She’s so into her own act she’s totally pleased with herself.

Uh... first one hand pulls, then the other, hahaha, such great acting!! (Sister Xi just loves to steal the spotlight — the main characters are supposed to be those two kitty cats, after all.)

When viewed up close, Sister Xi was truly amazed — the artist painted the cats so vividly that it’s impossible not to stop and admire each one carefully.

On the track of time, we are just a lonely subway train, yet this very subway carries untold stories within.

Sister Xi really likes this particular piece before her — the entire subway car is filled with cats, each one with such lively expressions that Sister Xi couldn’t help but exclaim in amazement.

Naturally, Sister Xi also grabbed onto one of the hanging straps inside the subway car, riding this lonely subway, enjoying a solo journey.

Everyone, please take a closer look — do you notice that every cat has a different facial expression? This scene is truly enough to bring a smile to your face.

The highlight of this painting lies in its delicate brushwork. The cats’ unique fur textures are rendered with striking realism. It’s expected that hundreds of cats will be featured. (Wow wow wow, extremely excited for this!) Once completed, it will be the longest 3D cat-themed painting in all of Taiwan.

Of course, the 3D painting "The Love Story of Cat Stars" was planned and created by the "Imaginative Space Art Design Studio."

Come on, let’s jump to another scene—we’re now in a large shopping mall. It seems these two protagonists are currently in a passionate romance: the female cat loves shopping, while the male cat willingly plays the role of a porter. Doesn’t this reflect everyday scenes from real life?

Hahaha!Sis Xi naturally had to crash the scene as well... though she didn’t hold the shopping bags very well, and when she got home to sort through the photos, she regretted it so much!

Seriously? Sis Xi really worked up a sweat acting out this whole sequence!

Finally, we arrive at the most romantic scene—two cats in love chasing each other romantically on bicycles by the riverbank. Doesn’t this also stir up everyone’s own beautiful memories?

A new highlight for photo ops in Budai, Chiayi!The nearly 100-meter-long 3D painting "The Love Story of Cat Stars" is not yet completed. It’s recommended that you come back later once it’s finished—the artwork will be even more stunning then!

And then... it’s not over yet!In fact, the currently hottest spot in Budai, the "High Heel Chapel," is not far from the 3D painting of The Love Story of Cat Stars. In fact, this is also what the Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan Management Office hopes—that visitors to the High Heel Chapel will, while admiring the 3D paintings, walk along Xinnan Road toward the Budai Fishing Port, or head south to the Budai South Dyke Bicycle Path, then loop back to the High Heel Chapel.

So exciting!Since Sis Xi hasn’t seen the "High Heel Chapel" up close either, let’s go check out Taiwan’s first high heel-shaped chapel built with glass curtain walls!

The "High Heel Chapel" stands 17 meters tall and 11 meters wide, with a total construction cost of 23.1 million NTD. Although it’s only an art installation, it still adheres to architectural design standards, using a combination of steel pipes covered with tempered glass for both design and construction.
