[Family Travel]A New Look at Yilan’s Cultural & Creative Park for Families & Kids – A Power-Packed Play Zone

Manfubao was thrilled to discover a little car. Both the sandpit and the Mercedes-Benz pavilion offer rental services — in addition to balance bikes, you can also rent regular bikes and electric cars.

There’s a cooking classroom, beverage bar, cultural and creative shop, bubble sandpit, Mercedes-Benz pavilion, and also a maker space for hands-on DIY crafts combining Little Box art education. The whole park is designed with kids in mind — looks like visiting the arts center just got a lot more expensive. ()

Interior of the cooking classroom.

The kids' DIY maker space mainly features clay sculpture activities. Each piece costs NT$180 and keeps the child entertained for about an hour — definitely a high value-for-money option.

When you’re tired from exploring, there’s also the Artr Bar (beverage bar) with brightly colored seats — perfect for photos.

The most eye-catching attraction in the park is the transparent bubble sandpit. Entry is NT$50 per session with no time limit, and there’s always staff on hand to play with the kids.

Cars in front of the bubble sandpit can be rented for NT$100 for 30 minutes (up to five people at a time). Behind it is the ARTR Restaurant, which will soon feature large building blocks. Be sure to check it out after its opening on February 4.

The cultural and creative shop sells small items and souvenirs.

The Mercedes-Benz pavilion, a hit with little boys, offers electric car rentals. Riding is limited to the Linshui Street area.

The interior of the Mercedes-Benz pavilion is set up like a racetrack. Upon inquiry, we found out that actual riding isn’t allowed — it’s just for show, which was a big disappointment for Manfubao’s little brother.

When a little boy sees cars, he can’t let go — so we rented a vintage bicycle to let Manfubao zoom around Linshui Street.
