I saw online that the Space Fortress slide at Wanhua Youth Park in Taipei has reopened again ! Take advantage of the good weather and bring Niuniu here to burn off some energy. Wanhua Youth Park not only has slides for kids but also a sandbox, swings, and play equipment for children aged 6–12, as well as play equipment for toddlers. Nearby, there’s also the Wanhua Parent-Child Center, baseball field, tennis court, badminton court, and bocce court. So many families come here to exercise and play !

Youth Park is quite large, and the Space Fortress slide is located next to the baseball field underground parking lot. You can park your car and walk over.
At first, you’ll pass by the regular play equipment. Just here, Niuniu can already play for 30 minutes !
In addition to the usual stairs, there are also three climbing-style entrances that let kids challenge themselves a little.
Niuniu has grown up again ! The timid girl can now climb up and down on her own !
Then you’ll pass by two swings, with both diaper-style seats and regular seats.
After that, you’ll come to a sandbox. Some people online say the sand here is dirty and that dogs sometimes wander in, but the sandbox next to the Space Fortress slide on the other side is too crowded, so Mommy Niuniu still lets her play in the sand here.
There are washing stations nearby where you can rinse off. In addition to letting Niuniu rinse, Mommy also brought hypochlorous acid water to spray on her hands—recently norovirus and avian flu have been too scary !
Next, you’ll pass by the play equipment for toddlers. The equipment here is very low to the ground.
Finally, the destination of the day — the Space Fortress slide. The long-awaited sunshine has brought everyone out to enjoy the sun.
The Space Fortress slide is divided into two levels: first and second floor.
Sliding down from the second floor, there are both long and short slides.
There are also small slides on the first floor of the Space Fortress.
You have to walk up the stairs to the first-floor fortress, then climb up inside the first-floor fortress to reach the second floor. It’s a bit challenging.
Some kids are afraid to climb this part.
Braver kids can also climb this net directly up to the second floor.
The area around the Space Fortress is covered in white sand, and the kids are having a blast. There are so many people here !!
There’s also a rinsing station nearby.
The Space Fortress slide at Wanhua Youth Park is really so much fun. You won’t be able to drag the kids away without spending 2–3 hours here, but because it’s so crowded, you need to pay attention to hygiene issues to avoid your child catching a cold after going home—it wouldn’t be worth it !
