A nine-day long holiday is the perfect time to plan a trip, but the traffic issues during the Lunar New Year always make people hesitant. This year, the Siraya National Scenic Area in southern Taiwan has implemented multiple traffic management measures in collaboration with Tainan County Government, the Fifth District Engineering Office of the Directorate General of Highways, the County Police Bureau and its branch stations, township offices, and the Tainan County Hot Spring Association, ensuring a smooth hometown exploration experience for visitors.

The Siraya National Scenic Area is Taiwan’s 13th national scenic area, spanning 15 townships and featuring five major recreational routes: Jiaoshiping, Hutoupi, Tsengwen Reservoir, Wushantou, and Zhen. During the Lunar New Year, the Siraya Scenic Area Administration launched a variety of activities, including the “Spring Blossoms in Jiangnan” at Jianshanpi Jiangnan Resort, which added a festive and auspicious atmosphere to the holiday, showering visitors with endless gifts; the “Flower Festival – Nanyuan International Floral Art Season” at Nanyuan Leisure Farm, where you can enjoy the most diverse and stunning floral displays without leaving the country; and the “Fortune Tiger Prosperity – Welcome New Year Series” at Zouma Lai Farm, showcasing the hottest rural tourism trends.

Tsengwen Reservoir is hosting the “2010 Joyful Tsengwen Spring Japanese-Style Festival,” incorporating Japanese-style trinkets and an experience honoring Engineer Yata Yasuichi, offering a distinctly Japanese vibe; the Guanziling Scenic Area’s “Spend a Thousand, Win a Surprise Lucky Draw,” where the top prize is a TOYOTA car; and the Xinhua National Botanical Garden’s “Lucky Xinhua Cricket Festival,” where you can stroll amidst phytoncides and enjoy a rare relaxing holiday. Within the Siraya Scenic Area Administration, there’s also a “Stone, Sculpture, and Craft Exhibition,” immersing visitors in rich artistic works.

To drive to the Siraya National Scenic Area, you can refer to the Lunar New Year Traffic Management Group to avoid congested areas. The Siraya Scenic Area Administration also provides an online traffic monitoring system for the Guanziling area, allowing visitors to stay updated on road conditions.
