Having bid farewell to the shadow of the red-shirt protests in April and May, the streets of Bangkok are gradually regaining their usual vibrancy and energy, showcasing once again the charm of Asia’s fashion capital. To help restore traveler confidence in Thailand, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and local tourism operators have launched a series of attractive activities, hoping visitors can once again experience the wonderful time of exploring Thailand.
The largest shopping mall in Asia: Siam Paragon
First, the Tourism Authority of Thailand is currently running the “Tourist Confidence Survey,” aiming to gauge the current level of confidence Taiwanese travelers have in visiting Thailand through this online initiative. It also hopes that Thailand can become one of the most favored travel destinations. By simply filling out personal details and answering questions related to travel in Thailand, participants can enter a lucky draw. Prizes include 250 early-bird rewards—each winner receives a specially designed travel tag and eco-friendly tote bag from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, as well as other prizes such as Polo shirts and travel bags. The grand prize is a free trip to Bangkok, where one winner can bring one companion. The campaign runs from June 21 to July 20, with the draw taking place on July 30. Winners will be announced on the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s website on August 2. Campaign URL: http://www.tycoondigi.com/eform/eform.aspx
In addition, hotel operators have also begun offering promotional packages. For example, the fashionable Metropolitan Bangkok hotel, located in Bangkok’s bustling downtown area, is currently running the “Bangkok - Bouncing Back” stay and promotion campaign, with room rates starting at just $80 USD per night. The package also includes various service discounts, with savings of up to 30% on offers such as breakfast, airport transfers, and spa treatments. More information can be found online (URL: www.metropolitan.como.bz). The campaign runs from now until July 31.
