Witness love under the Rainbow Bridge at the “Love in Xikou, Happiness That Lasts” Valentine’s Day event
As Qixi Festival, also known as Chinese Valentine’s Day, approaches, the Taipei City Government will host the “Love in Xikou, Happiness That Lasts ~ 2010 Qixi Meeting at Rainbow Bridge” event from 16:00 to 20:00 on August 15 at the Rainbow Bridge. They are actively recruiting 99 couples or pairs of lovers to come witness love together. At 7:07 PM, there will also be a spectacular time signal show on the Rainbow Bridge, creating a romantic and sweet atmosphere.
The Rainbow Bridge is a major transportation route connecting the Songshan and Neihu districts. Its curved structure and bright red arched beams are distinctive features. Coupled with this year's newly completed riverside murals, light installations, and the time signal show, the Rainbow Bridge is decked out in a highly romantic style. Couples wishing to express their love can register on the event’s official website before August 10 for a chance to receive a commemorative T-shirt and a love-themed mosaic brick.
There will also be many exciting activities at the venue that day, including flamenco dance performances by the Songshan Community College, jazz love ballads, flower-language blessings, photo opportunities on lover’s chairs, and blessings for couples by the Moon God from the Songshan Xia Hai City God Temple. Participating couples can also receive a love fortune five-color bracelet. Come join in the celebration!
