“Happiness 100”: Greet the First Light of the New Year at Sun Moon Lake

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of China, have you decided where to ring in the New Year? Why not head to Sun Moon Lake, the place with the highest happiness index in all of Taiwan, to witness the dawn of “Happiness 100.” The Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area invites couples everywhere to celebrate New Year’s Eve together, and is offering a six-star wedding and diamond rings, inviting newlyweds to experience a holiday resort-style wedding. In addition to the New Year’s wedding, there will also be romantic confession events, climbing Mt. Maolan activities, and other leisure experiences.

Happiness 100 Activity 1: New Year’s Wedding, Blessed by a Thousand. Twelve couples are being sought. The participating couples and their families will enjoy a romantic musical wedding banquet, a cruise on the Love Boat across the lake’s scenery, as well as fireworks and the blessings of a thousand guests at the New Year’s Eve party under the careful arrangement of the Sun Moon Lake National Park Headquarters and theHotel. There is also a chance to win a diamond ring.

Happiness 100 Activity 2: We’ll Set the Stage for You—A Romantic Confession on New Year’s Eve. Whether you’re married or in love... anyone who wants to loudly express their feelings and gratitude on New Year’s Eve can sign up with the organizers. Limited to 10 “brave souls,” selected participants will be arranged to confess their love on stage during the New Year’s Eve party on December 31.

Happiness 100 Activity 3: Climb Mt. Maolan and Greet the First Light. Enjoy a Photogenic Holiday Experience. The “Greet the First Light of the New Year” is Sun Moon Lake’s first-ever event to welcome the centennial dawn of the new year. It offers the chance to see the sunrise over Mt. Maolan and the shimmering surface of Sun Moon Lake on New Year’s Day. Only the first 100 registrants can join, and they will receive limited-edition centennial T-shirts, commemorative photos of Sun Moon Lake, and a “Vitality 100” breakfast.

Happiness 100 Activity 4: Leisurely Explore Sun Moon Lake on New Year’s, a Wellness Get-Together.
