The world’s longest railway, the Trans-Siberian Railway, currently operates two types of trains. One is the regular train from Moscow to Vladivostok — the “Rossiya,” while the other is the “Golden Eagle Train” (Trans Siberian Golden Eagle Express), a popular choice among Western tourists. This tourist-oriented train is equipped with all necessary travel amenities and takes travelers on a 14 to 17-day journey through multiple countries, leaving unforgettable memories in their remarkable lives.

The Trans-Siberian Railway journey is the longest railway trip in the world. The 17-day itinerary covers a total distance of 10,651 kilometers, spanning eight time zones from Russia to Vladivostok. Along the way, passengers traverse forests, mountains, deserts, rivers, grasslands, and lakes. The journey begins in Vladivostok heading westward toward Moscow, entering Siberia, then the Ural Mountains, and finally Europe. The route includes stops at key cities and attractions, and extends into Mongolia to Ulaanbaatar, connecting with the Baikal Lake loop line and venturing into the ancient forests around Lake Baikal. It offers a true sense of the vastness of the Eurasian continent and a renewed appreciation for the magnificence of the world.

The Golden Eagle Train is a luxury train operated by the UK-based GW Trains company, completed in 2007, and has gained popularity among travelers from Australia and the United States for its luxurious facilities and services. The train consists of 21 carriages divided into Gold and Silver classes, each consisting of 5–6 compartments designed as suites. They feature European-style stained glass, lighting fixtures, and everyday items. The floor is fitted with underfloor heating systems to handle the harsh cold in various countries. Each carriage is equipped with LCD TVs, bathrooms with separate shower and bathtub, dining rooms, lounges, bars, medical services, and laundry services. In addition, the dining experience is exceptional, offering 24-hour tea and snacks, along with top-tier cuisine from the countries along the route every day — including traditional Russian dishes, caviar, omul fish from Lake Baikal, and a selection of international alcoholic beverages.

The Gold Class (GOLD CLASS) cabin combined with business class is priced at NT$618,888 per person, and economy class at NT$588,888. The departure date is August 9, 2011. For the 14-day, 12-night itinerary (featuring key attractions, 3 nights in Mongolia, and participation in Mongolia’s annual Naadam Festival), the Gold Class (GOLD CLASS) cabin with business class is NT$598,888 per person, and economy class is NT$568,888, departing on July 10, 2011.
