The integrated resort Galaxy Macau, jointly developed by three leading Asian hotel operators, is set to officially open early this year. It will include the Galaxy Hotel with 1,500 rooms, the Hotel Okura Macau with 488 rooms, and the Banyan Tree Macau offering 246 suites, one presidential suite, and ten overwater villas. Annually, about 1.3 million Taiwanese tourists visit Macau.

Mr. Yip Yin-man, Senior Vice President of International Premium Market Development at Galaxy Entertainment Group, Mr. Chow Hoi-tung, Sales and Marketing Director of Banyan Tree Macau, and Mr. Ng Chan-wing, Deputy Department Manager of Hotel Okura, shake hands, symbolizing the three hotels' joint commitment to expanding the Taiwan tourism market. Galaxy Macau has a total investment of NT$55.7 billion and covers an area of 550,000 square meters. Among its most distinctive leisure facilities is a 4,000-square-meter beach on the platform and the world’s largest sky pool, where you can witness artificial waves up to 1.5 meters high and experience the feel of 350 tons of man-made sand. Galaxy Macau also offers a variety of Chinese cuisines, dynamic bars and nightclubs, as well as a luxury shopping boulevard featuring international and Asian brands from around the world.

Mr. Chow Hoi-tung, Sales and Marketing Director of Banyan Tree Macau, said: “Beach resorts are highly favored by Taiwanese tourists. For this reason, we firmly believe that the artificial beach leisure facilities on the platform at Galaxy Macau, combined with Banyan Tree’s luxurious Southeast Asian-style hospitality, will be extremely appealing to the Taiwanese market.” Mr. Ng Chan-wing, Deputy Department Manager of Hotel Okura, stated: “The Okura brand is already well-known across Asia, with Taiwan being one of our key markets. Being part of Galaxy Macau, this landmark tourism development project, we will provide Taiwanese, Asian, and global visitors with the highest level of Japanese-style accommodation, dining, and hospitality services.”

The Ruins of St. Paul’s in Macau is a famous tourist attraction.

After its opening, the integrated resort Galaxy Macau will become the newest integrated resort in the Cotai Strip area under the Macau Special Administrative Region government.
