MISTER DONUT Boti Lion + Frankie Sheep Sheep Cake ¥560 (2 pcs, includes one Boti Lion lunchbox as a gift).
7-ELEVEN, which has sold over one million cakes cumulatively, reports that on average, one in every four moms in Taiwan has tried a 7-ELEVEN cake. Sales continue to grow by 20% annually, showing an impressive and optimistic dessert market. Lin Y?, head of the merchandise department, stated that Mother’s Day is the biggest peak season for cake sales this year. Last year, 7-ELEVEN sold approximately 220,000 cakes, and this year the number is expected to exceed 250,000. In recent years, group buying and afternoon tea culture have become popular, so the pre-order for Mother’s Day cakes will officially launch with a lifestyle proposal themed around “Spring Afternoon Tea,” continuing the tradition of renowned shops and specialties. Options include the “Angel’s Praise Cake” co-created with French patisserie master Seiji Aoki, the debut of City Café-flavored cakes, as well as COLDSTONE ice cream cakes, MISTER DONUT two-piece cake sets, Fauchon Latte Cakes, five-star hotel cakes, and an afternoon tea cake series.
La Mille Bijoux Treasure Box Cake ¥520, satisfying all nine flavors in one.
The 7-ELEVEN Mother’s Day cake pre-order campaign runs from March 9 to May 1, offering nearly 40 new designs and flavors, with prices ranging from ¥199 to ¥1200. Sixty percent of the options are priced under ¥600, meeting the diverse price needs of all customer groups. Buy any two pre-ordered cakes to enjoy a 5% discount.
Pre-ordered cakes can be “ordered at one store, picked up at another,” providing a convenient gifting option.
