Last year, Taiwan visitors to Hong Kong reached 2.16 million, making it one of the most favored overseas destinations for Taiwanese. Starting from the end of March this year, there will be over 400 flights per week between Taiwan and Hong Kong, demonstrating the importance major airlines place on this route. Coupled with the appreciation of the New Taiwan Dollar, now is the perfect time to shop and enjoy gourmet food to your heart’s content. Hong Kong’s new attractions this year are equally appealing, including the observation deck “Sky 100 (Sky 100)” atop the city’s tallest building, Ocean Park’s “Aqua City,” Disneyland’s “Toy Story Land Base,” and five new malls in Tsim Sha Tsui, all great choices for extended holidays.

This year has quite a few long holiday periods: the Qingming Festival from April 2–5, the Dragon Boat Festival from June 4–6, the Mid-Autumn Festival from September 10–12, and the National Day holiday from October 8–10. These allow the public to travel abroad freely without needing to take extra leave, and planning a trip to Hong Kong is a great option. The “Sky 100 (Sky 100),” set to officially open in April this year, is located on the 100th floor of the International Commerce Centre, the tallest building in Hong Kong (the building has 118 floors). Visitors can enjoy a panoramic 360-degree view of the city’s landscape and the world’s longest and most beautiful skyline. The observation deck can accommodate up to 800 people at once, with an estimated visit duration of 30–60 minutes.
