Modern life has improved in quality, but due to work pressure and irregular schedules, people often neglect balanced nutrition and suffer from modern lifestyle diseases. From now until May 31, Asia Pacific’s Regent Park is offering a Five Elements Healthy Cuisine set. This meal plan is based on the Five Elements—Heart (Fire), Liver (Wood), Spleen (Earth), Lung (Metal), and Kidney (Water)—and incorporates ingredients of various colors—green, red, yellow, white, and black—to create a nourishing, health-boosting meal. It's perfect for busy individuals with imbalanced diets to recharge their vitality.

The Five Elements Healthy Meal introduced by Asia Pacific Regent Park’s Cantonese restaurant, Jin Yuan, was developed in collaboration with dietitian Jin Mei-yun from Taipei’s Wanfang Hospital and Shuang Ho Hospital. The nutritional content and calories of each dish were carefully calculated. According to the Department of Health, adults over 30 should consume 2,050–2,450 calories per day. The chef has paired a green vegetable and fruit salad with apple cider vinegar (representing Green/Wood), steamed cheese with bamboo fungus, fresh shrimp, and oysters (Red/Fire), cheesy mushroom and oat rice (Yellow/Earth), bamboo shoot and abalone soup (White/Metal), and black fungus stir-fried chicken fillet (Black/Water). Cooking techniques are used to preserve the original flavors and nutrients of the ingredients while ensuring great texture and taste.

Additionally, although recent Japanese radiation fallout is not expected to affect Taiwan, Asia Pacific states that ingredients in this meal set—such as black fungus, carrots, and ginger slices—are known to help mitigate the adverse effects of radiation. Hence, the healthy meal set is being specially launched at this time. While there is no concrete data, the business is capitalizing on the public’s wellness needs by offering this promotional set that combines delicious flavors with health benefits, which is sure to attract food enthusiasts.
