The Macau Government Tourism Office has partnered with ten travel agencies this summer to launch a “Macau Treasure Hunt” family-friendly tour. From now until September 15, they are also holding an online “Capture Macau” photo contest. Just upload your photos of Macau to participate, and the top 8 vote-getters will win a 3-day, 2-night all-inclusive stay at a five-star hotel. The earlier you join, the better your chances of winning a prize!

Catherine Leong, Director of Taiwan Market Promotion at the Macau Government Tourism Office, said that family travel during the summer holidays is a key market the office is actively developing. In addition to being home to the world’s cultural heritage sites closest to Taiwan, Macau also offers attractions that inspire children’s potential such as the Macao Science Center and the Macao Giant Panda Pavilion. There are also newly opened five-star hotels equipped with various entertainment facilities, meeting the needs of families traveling abroad. The number of Taiwanese visitors staying overnight in Macau has been increasing year by year, with more and more travelers viewing Macau as a destination rather than just a transit stop.

The ongoing “Capture Macau” online photo contest is jointly sponsored by TransAsia Airways, Air Macau, EVA Air, Banyan Tree Macau, and The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel. Participants just need to upload photos of Macau attractions on the event website. By rallying support from family and friends through personal social networks, they can win a chance to enjoy a “3-day, 2-night luxury Macau getaway” for free — staying at either The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel or the newly opened Banyan Tree Macau.
