Summer Exclusive: Paddle a Canoe in War Tunnels & Enjoy a Symphony Concert

The summer-exclusive canoeing activity in Beihai Tunnel, Matsu, has begun. On July 9 at 9 AM, at Beihai Recreation Area and inside the tunnel, a special Beihai Tunnel Canoeing Banquet event will be held, featuring a live performance by Taiwan’s renowned symphonic brass quintet and live drills by the Amphibious Regiment brothers. In addition to auditory and visual enjoyment, the event also collaborates with the Tieban Community Development Association to offer local Matsu delicacies.

To coincide with the opening ceremony, the tunnel canoeing experience activity will offer an exclusive promotional rate for visitors from 11 AM to 5 PM on July 9. Reservations for the opening day’s canoeing experience can be made now through Baoshun Leisure (reservation hotline: 0937-054-343). For just NT$100 (original price NT$350), you can enjoy a full loop around the tunnel by canoe—priority given to those who book in advance. Additionally, all participants in the “Beihai Tunnel Canoeing Banquet” event will receive one NT$50 voucher for the amusement area, with 400 vouchers being distributed starting at 10:10 AM that day, while supplies last.

As for Matsu’s distinctive homemade sake experience, visitors who make a reservation that day can enjoy it for just NT$450 (original price NT$550), with an extra complimentary bottle of “Red Lees Cooking Sauce” (worth NT$150).
