North Coast Listen to the Sea Music Festival: Rock the Summer on July 16

The “North Coast Listen to the Sea Music Festival” is entering its third year this year, and this time events will be held on July 16 and 23—“White Sand Bay Night” and “Shallow Water Bay Night,” respectively. “White Sand Bay Night” will feature performances by Matthew Lien and Hsu Ching-chun, while “Shallow Water Bay Night” will showcase explosive performances by Ye Weiting, rising star singer Ah Fu (Deng Fu-ru), and closing act Chemical Monkeys.

“White Sand Bay Night” begins performances at 17:30. This time, Golden Melody Award-winning singer Hsu Ching-chun will appear in her stunning Greek muse (Muse) costume from her latest musical, performing a series of classic songs. These include the “Taiwan Folk Song Suite” and campus folk song medley, both previously performed at the Washington, D.C., and Presidential Office buildings, as well as a classic suite by Master Li Tai-hsiang, “Time to Say Goodbye,” “You Are All My Memories,” and more. She will deliver an extraordinary performance in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English.

The lineup for “Shallow Water Bay Night” in Sanzhi on July 23 is also impressive, opening officially at 18:00 with local band What Band. In addition, Yeh Weiting from Super Idol Season 2, singer Ah Fu, and the Chemical Monkeys will take turns performing until 21:30. Five creators of the Tourism Bureau’s North Coast mascot theme songs will also be invited to perform live. To ensure everyone has a blast, the organizers have prepared 2,000 glow sticks to fuel up-close, high-energy interaction between the stage and the audience.
