Food expo restaurants offer meal vouchers starting at 50% off, with online pre-sales beginning in August

The 22nd Taiwan Culinary Exhibition will take place from August 18 to 21. Each year, the food expo is a prime time for the public to snag great deals. This year, merchants are offering even greater discounts and promotions than last year, with accommodation discounts as low as 32% off and dining packages starting at 50% off. Some businesses are also capitalizing on the centennial opportunity by promoting wedding banquet packages. Additionally, many hotel operators have launched online food expos starting in August, allowing the public to preorder deals early without waiting for the main event.

In conjunction with the Taiwan Culinary Exhibition, The Grand Hotel is offering a lunch or dinner buffet voucher for two people at just NT$999, equivalent to a 5.1% discount. Regular standard rooms are also available for NT$2,000 per night, representing a special rate of 2.2% off. The Landis Taipei has introduced two new promotional packages this year for the first time: a Story Tea House afternoon tea set for two at NT$1,000 (original price NT$1,584), and a Paris 1930 · Moët & Chandon duo set voucher for NT$7,600, which includes a bottle of Moët & Chandon champagne—but this Paris 1930 promotion is only available for pre-orders starting August 1. Among the packages offered by Taipei Fuhang, the most discounted is the Gourmet Delicacy Set Voucher at just NT$999 (including service charge), which allows you to choose from any of four restaurants—Jiangnan Chun, Pearl House, Penglai?, or Haishan Hall—for a set originally priced at NT$1,688 + 10%, now available for online pre-sale starting August 1.

This year, The Ambassador Hotel is offering an A-Mei Ambassador Steak Duo Set Voucher for the first time, with an original price of NT$2,200 and a special price of NT$1,399, as well as a set of 10 afternoon tea vouchers for The Ming Garden Western Restaurant, originally priced at NT$6,050 and now available for NT$4,200. Among Taipei Regent’s promotions, the most affordable is the joint Azie Café and Li Li Hall two-person gourmet voucher at just NT$1,499, which can be used for either the American thick-cut steak set or the American bone-in short rib steak set. Hai Pa Wang is selling a meal voucher booklet for NT$5,000, applicable to any table meal over NT$2,500 at Hai Pa Wang Restaurant. Purchasing a voucher booklet worth NT$5,000 on the day also comes with a free NT$1,500 “New ‘Nostalgic Dishes’” redemption voucher. Wulai Chateau Hot Spring Resort is promoting creative seasonal Japanese cuisine with a “buy 10, get 10 free, plus free hot spring bathing” deal. In addition to food discounts, some merchants are also offering wedding banquet promotions—Shangri-La Dongshan River Hotel is featuring an Eternal Water Church Wedding Package at a special price of NT$29,999, which also includes a free voucher for a double room stay.
