Easier ticket purchase: Taiwan Tourist Shuttle – Sun Moon Lake Line tickets now available at 7-11

Since its launch in March last year, the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle” transportation ticket has been popular among tourists, surpassing 100,000 ridership trips. This summer alone, the number reached as high as 23,000, showing that this ticket has become one of the most-used travel services among visitors to Sun Moon Lake. The Ministry of Transportation and Communications also announced that starting September 7, tickets and packages for the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle - Sun Moon Lake Line” sightseeing buses will officially be available at 7-11. The public can purchase them directly through the ibon ticketing system and can also enjoy a buy-one-get-one-free promotion at all Starbucks stores across Taiwan with the stub.

Additionally, the best-selling “Sun Moon Lake Land-Air-Water 599 Package” includes a round-trip ticket for the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle - Sun Moon Lake Line” (NT$330), a Sun Moon Lake cable car ticket (NT$250), a one-day pass for the Sun Moon Lake Loop Bus (NT$80), and a one-way boat ticket for the Sun Moon Lake ferry (NT$100). Purchasing through ibon costs only about 79% of the original price, making it both a great deal and convenient.

In addition, starting September 13, the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle - Sun Moon Lake Line” will add a new onboard stop at National Chi Nan University. The campus and its buildings boast beautiful scenery and offer a direct view over the Puli Basin. Many idol dramas have been filmed here, making it comparable to a scenic area. Once the stop opens, it will provide travelers with more sightseeing options.
