In July this year, the Tourism Bureau launched its first tourism film, “Time for Taiwan—My Beautiful Island” (Travel Taiwan Now—My Beautiful Island), which received an overwhelmingly positive response from netizens and ranked first in the “Travel & Events” category on YouTube. The film showcases the deep human touch of Taiwan, moving audiences deeply. Starting now, the Tourism Bureau is also launching an online event where participants can write about the most memorable sounds and scenes from the film. By sharing their thoughts, they can enter a lucky draw.

The Tourism Bureau’s online event “Hear the Voice of Taiwan” (http://theme.taiwan.net.tw/heart), planned around the theme of “hearing,” invites global netizens to not only visually experience Taiwan’s rich human touch and natural cultural landscapes through the film, but also to close their eyes and listen to the “heart” of Taiwan—such as the chanting in temples, the moving songs of indigenous singers, or the lively calls in night markets—feeling the vibrant and powerful vitality of the Taiwanese people.

Participants simply need to watch the 10-minute HD version of “Time for Taiwan―My Beautiful Island” on the event webpage, write down five sounds and scenes from Taiwan featured in the film, leave basic contact information, and share the film on their personal Facebook, Twitter, Plurk, Yahoo, Google+, or blog. They will then have a chance to win prizes such as a new Taiwan tourism brand commemorative tote bag and the original soundtrack of Taiwan’s global tourism promotional video. The event runs until 5:00 PM on October 11, with the winners to be announced before October 20.
