The Dongshan River Water and Land Adventure Tour offers a free low-carbon eco-friendly experience.

Starting in November, Yilan County will launch a one-month “Dongshan River Water and Land Adventure Tour” event, beginning with the “Yilan Excellent Online Activity” that provides free bike experiences. There will be 2,600 spots available, not only offering free one-day bike vouchers but also allowing participants to use these vouchers to purchase discounted tickets to the Culture and Arts Center (original price NT$150, discounted price NT$120).

The Yilan Excellent Online Activity allows the public to upload photos in exchange for free bike experiences. Redemption is available from November 1 to November 30, with 100 spots per weekday and 50 per weekend day. Bike voucher redemption locations include the Merida Bicycle Station in Dongshan, the Dongshan River Water Park Station, or the Culture and Arts Center Station. Due to daily limits, visitors should make phone reservations in advance to avoid disappointment.

The Culture and Arts Center, one of the event organizers, will also host several exhibitions in November, including the “Centennial Resounding Chronicle Touring Exhibition,” “Lin Benbo Gramophone Collection Exhibition,” “Military Dependents’ Village Culture Exhibition,” “Asia-Pacific Special Exhibition,” “Tribute Exhibition to the Hometown of Chiang Wei-shui,” as well as performances of Taiwanese opera. While experiencing traditional culture at the Culture and Arts Center, visitors can also ride bikes to enjoy an LOHAS lifestyle, take boat rides along the Dongshan River, and admire the riverside scenery.
