The Taipei International Travel Fair concluded on November 14. Despite Thailand facing severe flooding, the Tourism Authority of Thailand still set up a booth to serve Taiwanese consumers, and stood out among 1,500 booths, winning two major awards: Best Booth Design and Best Booth Operation.

This year, the booth design theme of the Tourism Authority of Thailand was “green and chic Thailand,” which also aligns with the eco-friendly and low-carbon travel trend, thus gaining strong support from consumers. To attract more visitors to the booth, in addition to performances by Thai Kongbang Long Puppet artists and dance shows by the Pata Art University, interactive activities for consumers were also held, including soap flower carving, art face painting, and creative hairstyling. Two professional masseurs from Thailand’s renowned Ralinjinda SPA were also invited to provide stress-relieving massages on site.

In terms of Thailand travel package sales, Phuket, Koh Samui, and Chiang Mai ranked in the top three, while Bangkok, affected by the floods, could not offer group tours, but still saw many backpackers making inquiries. The Tourism Authority of Thailand stated that Bangkok’s main tourist attractions have not been affected by the floods, and that the flooding situation in Thailand has improved and is now in the recovery phase.
