100 Heartwarming Travel Stories Awards Announced: Travel Taiwan with Heart, Discover the Incredible

Promote Taiwan tourism, starting with yourself！This year, the Tourism Bureau’s “Travel Taiwan. Touching 100” website launched three activities: New Experiences in Taiwan. 100 Heartwarming Stories, Dynamic 100 Dancing Across Taiwan, and the Top 100 Routes PK Competition, encouraging the public to share the beauty of Taiwan through participation. Among them, the online selection event “New Experiences in Taiwan. 100 Heartwarming Stories” held its award ceremony today, selecting the top 10 blog and photo entries from numerous submissions. The first place in the blog category was won by Lin Y..., with the winning work titled “The Healing Power of Traveling in Remote Areas.”

In addition, to thank participants for engaging with the website activities, a grand annual prize of one year’s free stay at a hotel under the Yunlan Tourism Group was offered, which was luckily claimed by Li Zhengxi from Taipei. Other winners received prizes including a one-month all-you-can-eat buffet at Fulong Hotel, electric scooters, and travel reward funds, with a total prize value of up to NT$1.3 million. Many winners also shared the stories behind their works and their feelings about winning. Lin Y..., the first-place winner in the blog category, said that this blog post documented her university graduation trip with her boyfriend, capturing the unique charm of rural Taiwan during an off-season visit, leaving behind unforgettable memories. The annual prize winner expressed that this was his second time participating in the event and never expected to win such a big prize. He felt deeply honored and said he would bring his parents along to travel together next year and revisit some of the places he visited before.

This call for submissions attracted many netizens to participate. In just four months, 542 blog posts and 839 photos were collected. The abundance of stunning photos and touching stories reflect the captivating landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Taiwan. These outstanding works have also become important materials for introducing Taiwan to international travelers.
