The Malaysia Tourism Board stated that it hopes to use public transportation such as buses and taxis to “weave” Malaysia’s top-quality tourism image throughout the streets of Taipei, allowing passersby to feel the leisure and relaxation of Malaysia’s vacation paradise at the same time, achieving “leisure synchronization with zero time difference” between Taipei and Malaysia.

After Malaysia introduced a 15-day visa-free policy for Taiwanese citizens in March last year, it attracted more Taiwanese tourists to visit Malaysia. From January to November 2011, over 190,000 Taiwanese tourists traveled to Malaysia. This year, the Malaysia Tourism Board will introduce a new type of travel experience—Home Stay—through which Taiwanese visitors can get closer to the unique cultures of various regions in Malaysia and deeply experience the beauty of Malaysian culture.
