Make the most of the weekend before Valentine’s Day for a hiking meet-up

The New Taipei City Tourism Bureau will hold a “Love at Home Together” hiking group activity from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM on February 11, at the scenic “New Mountain Dream Lake,” a popular spot for couple wedding photos in New Taipei City. The event invites internet celebrity Zhu Xueheng and young men and women to step outdoors, using hiking as the first step toward true love. Registration ends at 6:00 PM today (?2/9?). Single friends hoping to find a new partner before Valentine’s Day should act fast!

In addition, the New Taipei City Government Tourism and Travel Bureau promotes hiking and outdoor leisure activities for all citizens and has also launched the “New Taipei City Hiking and Walking Network.” In addition to promoting 180 hiking trails in New Taipei City, it has also selected ten essential romantic trails to warm up relationships for Valentine’s Day, hoping that couples can join in the fun together.

Single men and women interested in joining the “Love at Home Together” hiking group activity, who are born between 1965 and 1980 and are unmarried, can sign up online. Participants who have a personal blog with over 5,000 cumulative page views can apply to the organizers for a special gift as a promotional reward, provided they post about the New Mountain Dream Lake trail on their blog after the event.

Additionally, the organizers have planned a “Love on the Trail” photography competition and a “Fun on the Trail 'Adventure Tales'” blog review contest. Photography and hiking enthusiasts can write about their hiking experiences and visit the “Top Ten Recommended Spring Romance Trails” in New Taipei City to participate in the events and win big prizes. Prizes include DSLR-like cameras worth over ten thousand NT dollars, Gore-Tex windproof and waterproof breathable jackets, professional hiking backpacks, ultra-light down jackets, trekking poles, and more.
