Chen Bolin endorses Taipei Xing Faxian – Valentine’s Day date spot top pick is Beitou

With the popularity of idol dramas and movies, filming locations from these productions often become must-visit hotspots for fans. The special exhibition “Taipei. Endless Discovery – City Star Discovery,” on display at the Special Exhibition Hall on the second floor of the Taipei Explorer Visitor Center from now until April 8, combines film and television scenes with stills. It features four major themes: “Hot Spring Romance,” “The Revival of Confucian Style,” “Star Appeal,” and “Loving Taipei.” The exhibition also invites actor Chen Bolin, known as “Da Ren Ge,” to serve as the spokesperson, leading the public to discover the charm of Taipei.

Zhao Xinping, Director of the Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism, stated that in addition to introducing the historical background of scenic spots such as Beitou Hot Springs and the Confucius Temple, this special exhibition also offers hidden gems for visitors to explore, such as the lush green “Silver Light Lane” in Beitou and the lesser-known “Encouragement Learning Path” in Dadaocheng, adding new highlights to Taipei’s tourism offerings. Chen Bolin, who grew up in Taipei, said that his favorite spot in the city is the Xinyi District, which is perfect for cycling or taking a stroll at night while enjoying the urban fashion vibe. As for Valentine’s Day date spots, he believes that Beitou, with its many hot springs, or the Xinyi District, are both great choices.

The tourist attractions introduced in this special exhibition include Beitou Hot Springs, the Confucius Temple Historical District, the Xinyi Fashion Area, and popular dating spots in Taipei. The exhibition also incorporates multimedia interactive installations, such as computer touch screens where you can view Confucian cuisine and the Thousand-Year Banquet, a 3D simulation of Taipei 101 for photo opportunities, and the “Heart of Romance” photo zone, presenting Taipei’s diverse culture and tourist attractions in an engaging way.
