To prevent conflicts between pedestrians and vehicles and enhance the quality of tourism, the Nantou County Government’s planned "Elevated Scenic Walkway" in the Qingjing area is set to open before the end of February. This approximately 1.2-kilometer-long elevated walkway winds along the slopes of Provincial Highway 14A and looks from the air like a pure white python.

This barrier-free elevated scenic walkway not only solves the issue of pedestrian-vehicle conflict. With a width of 2.5 meters and a height of about two to three stories, this pedestrian walkway offers exceptional views. Standing on it, you can also gaze at the beautiful mountain landscapes. To blend in with the natural environment, the scenic walkway is painted mainly in dark green and white. From the air, it resembles a white python hidden among the trees, creating a truly spectacular sight.

Since 2015, the Nantou County Government has been constructing the Qingjing Elevated Scenic Walkway System, and it has now entered its final stage. It is expected to open before the end of February this year. Once operational, not only will visitors enjoy a safer experience, but the six large and small scenic platforms along the walkway will also become new leisure spots in Qingjing.
