Eco-friendly Living and Conservation Activities Kick Off at Taipei Expo Park on May 27

Ecology is closely tied to human life, making conservation an essential issue in modern times. The "Taipei Nature and Ecology Conservation Activity," organized by the Taipei City Animal Protection Office, will take place at 10:00 AM on Sunday, May 27, at the Long Corridor Plaza of Taipei Expo Park near Yuanshan MRT Station. This year, the event has been expanded to include 40 booths, featuring organizations such as the Purple Crow Butterfly Conservation Association, the Wild Bird Society, the Green Field Ecological Conservation Association, and the Seven Star Ecological Conservation Foundation. Activities at the site will include ecological challenges and DIY projects using recycled plastic bottles, aiming to teach both adults and children how to protect the environment in their daily lives.

Participating groups and organizations have pulled out all the stops to create a series of engaging and educational activities, including "Building a Bat House," "Eco-friendly Recycling: Creative DIY Plastic Bottle Planters," and the "OX (Tic-Tac-Toe) PK Challenge." Through fun family games, participants can not only learn about conservation but also win various prizes such as a refreshing drink, a small potted plant, a seed card, or a roll of tree-free toilet paper for successfully completing the challenges.

In addition, the Department of Civil Engineering and the Seven Star Ecological Conservation Foundation will be giving away mystery gift bags, along with displays of green industry products, including produce grown using environmentally friendly methods and goods certified by fair trade.
