Exchange talent submissions for free accommodation and win a ten-thousand-yuan dream fund

Exchanging submissions such as videos for free travel experiences has become a common way to attract tourists. In response, the Taoyuan County Government held the "2012 North Cross-Island Tourism Festival" and launched the "North Cross-Island Art Tour" — a creative event where you can showcase your talents in exchange for free meals and accommodation. From now until June 8, any performance group or individual of four people or fewer with talents and a willingness to participate in live performer shows during the North Cross-Island Tourism Festival can upload their talent videos to the event page. Once selected, they will have the chance to win a 2-day-1-night free stay and travel itinerary at Lalashan.

Additionally, this event has also planned an essay submission campaign called "My Dream for the North Cross-Island." As long as you submit an entry themed around “love” — whether it's passion for a hobby, love, friendship, family bonds, or care for the land and environment — and the plan is to be realized along the North Cross-Island route, you can fill out the registration and proposal details on the event page. Once selected, complete your proposed project by July 29, and share a blog post of over 800 words (with five or more photos) or a 3-minute travel video on the event page. You will then be eligible to receive a ten-thousand-yuan dream fund.

The North Cross-Island route stretches from Daxi Township to Fuxing Township, featuring numerous well-known attractions including Cihu, Hou Cihu, Kuping Mountain, the Little Wulai Skywalk, and Lalashan. The area boasts abundant tourism resources such as butterfly watching, hiking, stargazing, tribal experiences, and fruit picking. It is also the best-preserved of Taiwan’s three cross-island highways, attracting large numbers of tourists every holiday.
