The era of AI has arrived: Robots make their debut at the flower expo

AI intelligence has evolved dramatically, and movie-like scenes will unfold at the Angel Life Pavilion in the New Park of the Flower Expo. Four hyper-realistic robots developed by a team from National Taiwan University—some can play soccer, some can mimic human expressions, and some can keep people company—not only showcase Taiwan’s high achievements in intelligent robotics and automation research, but also interact with visitors on-site for creative experiences.

The HuroEvolution, developed by a team from the National Taiwan University’s international top-tier Intelligent Robotics and Automation Research Center, showcases how robots cooperate in offense and defense, swiftly kicking and scoring goals; “Einstein’s Smile” combines biomimetic skin and servo motors to imitate various vivid human expressions and can engage in face-to-face interactive dialogue with visitors; the “Intelligent Multi-functional Robot” not only provides entertainment and companionship at home, but can also instantly capture memorable moments through facial expression recognition and emotion detection; the “Biomimetic Eyeball” uses shape memory alloys to replace the muscles of the eye, coordinating with computer detection to achieve stretching and rotating motions—showcasing the latest technology distinct from conventional motor-driven mechanisms.

The “Intelligent Automation Product Special Exhibition – Smart Motion Pavilion,” jointly planned by the Angel Team, ITRI, and over 20 Taiwanese tech companies, allows visitors to learn about future life technologies, mechanical applications, and the convenience and development brought by smart products through light-hearted animations, interactive games, and DIY workshops. The exhibition runs until September 2.
