A Battle for the Top: 100 Travel Masters Vie for the Crown – Voting Now Open

The meaning of travel comes in countless forms—whether it's self-discovery, indulging in food and fun, or accomplishing the seemingly impossible. After the preliminary selection phase, the “2012 Taiwan New Top 100 Travelers” competition has selected a total of 200 individual entries and 10 corporate entries to advance to the second round. Online voting is now open. The top prize in the individual category is an all-expenses-paid 10-day trip to Kenya, East Africa. Participants in the voting also have the chance to win prizes worth over NT$100,000, including hot spring hotel stay vouchers.

This Top 100 Travelers event is jointly organized by MOOK Publishing, its travel magazine TRAVELER Luxe旅人志, and the travel service platform Tripass Scenic Spots Family. In the first phase, there were 1,128 individual entries and 107 corporate entries, including many well-known bloggers, past winners of the travel meaning competition, seasoned travelers from home and abroad, and renowned companies such as the Din Tai Fung Group. After the initial selection, 200 individual entries and 10 corporate entries have been chosen to move on to the second round—the “Public Voting” stage. Online voting is now open and will run until August 25.

The top three winners in the individual category will receive a 10-day East African Kenya exploration trip, a 5-day stay at the W HOTEL in Korea, and a round-trip flight ticket between Taipei and Seoul on Korean Air, respectively. Other prizes include a high-end CASIO digital camera and American Express traveler’s checks, with total prizes valued at over NT$1 million.
