Peninsula Hotel Building Turns Pink! Pink Afternoon Tea Available Only in October

The Peninsula Hotel has turned pink in October this year. This year, the Peninsula continues to launch the “Peninsula Pink Ribbon” campaign and fundraising initiatives in October to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Not only do the hotel buildings light up with pink decorations, but also a variety of pink-themed activities will be introduced, including pink afternoon tea, pink ribbon brooches, and pink cocktails. In addition, the Peninsula’s riverboat and MINI Clubman cars will also be adorned with pink decorations, with the latter even providing rides for cancer patients to their clinics.

All nine hotels under the Peninsula Hotels Group will participate in this Pink Ribbon campaign. The Peninsula hotels in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Beijing Wangfujing, New York, Chicago, and Beverly Hills will also light up in pink, while the “Peninsula Pink Afternoon Tea” is the highlight dish promoted at each location. The Peninsula afternoon tea has long been a classic offering across all Peninsula properties worldwide. In October, each property will design its own signature afternoon tea with a pink theme, while still retaining classic British treats such as scones, clotted cream, and jam. For every “Peninsula Pink Afternoon Tea” sold, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to local breast cancer charities.

In addition, the Peninsula hotels in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing Wangfujing, Tokyo, Bangkok, Manila, New York, Chicago, and Beverly Hills will be decorated with pink themes and fresh pink flowers throughout October. Traditional Chinese stone lions at the entrances will be tied with pink ribbons, and staff will wear pink ribbon pins. Each property offers slightly different activities; for example, Shanghai will feature a special “Peninsula Pink Ribbon” luxury garden-view room package for a 3-day, 2-night stay from October 1 to 31. The package includes two breakfasts, a pink spa treatment, the Peninsula Pink Afternoon Tea, and one-way airport limousine transfer. The rate is RMB 3,888 per night (approximately NTD 18,500), plus 15% service charge, with a minimum stay of two nights.
