The alpine brand NORTHLAND officially makes its debut

Founded in 1973 in the province of Steyr, Austria, the outdoor brand NORTHLAND officially opened its first store in Taiwan in September in Taipei City. The store is located in a former post office, housed in a two-story Japanese-style Western building over 50 years old, which, although situated along a major road, exudes a serene and rustic charm that contrasts with the bustling urban life, making one momentarily forget the hurried pace of the city.

To preserve the character of the aged stone-washed exterior walls, the new NORTHLAND Xinan store avoided bold contrasting colors and instead opted for a matching silver-gray tone, complemented by understated lighting to retain the old-building aesthetic. For the interior, design inspiration was drawn from three elements of the Alps: natural stone flooring, solid wood, and bright white metal, used respectively for the floor, walls, and furnishings. The color scheme, inspired by the Austrian flag, combines red and white to create a bright and comfortable in-store atmosphere.

For 40 years since its founding, the NORTHLAND brand has remained committed to the comfortable and free-spirited ethos of the Austrian outdoors, dedicated to creating the most comfortable and durable equipment for outdoor enthusiasts.
