Travel Exhibition Series / Catch the Visa-Free Wave: 9-Day Western U.S. Tour for Just 40,000

Last year’s Taipei International Travel Fair drew 250,000 visitors in just four days, and this year’s edition will be held at the World Trade Center Halls 1 and 3 from October 26–29. With visa-free travel to the U.S. set to begin in November, many travel agencies are jumping on the trend by launching U.S. tour packages. Some agencies are even offering ultra-low-priced 9-day Western U.S. tours for just NT$39,900. Popular Asian destinations like Hong Kong and South Korea also have numerous tour packages under NT$10,000, all vying for consumers' spending.

This year, with visa-free travel to the U.S. just around the corner, agencies expect increased demand for U.S. trips and have launched various promotional offers. In addition to Five Star Travel’s 10-Day Western U.S. Tour starting at NT$66,900 and Southeast Travel’s 8-Day New York Tour starting at NT$67,900 (taxes included) with a waiver of the US$14 (approximately NT$412) ESTA fee, Lion Travel is even offering an ultra-low-priced 9-Day Western U.S. Tour for just NT$39,900.

Additionally, for popular Northeast Asian destinations like Japan and South Korea, Hi-Fly Travel is offering a Lucky Draw Korea 5-Day Tour starting at NT$9,900, while Lion Travel’s Everland & N Seoul Tower 4-Day Tour is available on-site for just NT$7,800. For Tokyo, which has been in the spotlight thanks to the Tokyo Skytree, EVA Air’s 5-Day Tokyo Free & Easy Tour starts at NT$14,900. In Southeast Asia, China Airlines is promoting a Hong Kong visa-free special, with 2D1N and 3D2N packages starting at NT$5,288 and NT$6,088 respectively. TransAsia Airways is highlighting its 9 major routes with 3D2N free & easy tours under NT$10,000, including Macau Go Anywhere starting at just NT$8,800.
