New Taipei City’s Christmas Call-Out & Firefighter Hunks in Costume Parade

The Christmas bells are about to ring, and people have more or less started planning their holiday schedules or activities. In response, the New Taipei City Government is inviting families and friends to sign up in groups for the “Dream&Love Christmas Street Parade Carnival” on December 23. In addition to recruiting 15 teams to march along Zhongshan Road toward the New Taipei City Civic Plaza and perform along the way, there will also be firefighter hunks joining the parade. Selected teams will receive a subsidy of NT$3,000 each. Registration is open from now until 5:00 PM on December 7.

Last year’s Christmas parade teams each showcased their unique charm, with striking costumes and lively steps interacting cheerfully with the public along the route, spreading joyful vibes throughout Banqiao District. The parade included the New Taipei City Firefighter Hunk Brigade, the Mounted Police Unit, an energetic Samba Carnival Team, the Christmas Beauties Team, a Drum and Marching Band, a Pet Parade Team, and more.

 

This year’s “Dream&Love Christmas Street Parade Carnival” will once again invite the Mounted Police Unit, musical bands, and firefighter hunks to join the parade, along with many creative performance groups interacting joyfully with the public. Additionally, the New Taipei City Government encourages participants to create outfits based on the theme of “Dream&Love,” using large props, masks, costumes, and more to transform their looks. Performances can also be expressed through movement, music, and dance—formats are flexible. Any group consisting of 15 to 50 members is welcome to apply. This event plans to select 15 teams, giving priority to groups from New Taipei City, with each team receiving a subsidy of NT$3,000. The parade will take place on the afternoon of December 23, marching along Section 1 of Zhongshan Road via Chongqing Road, Minzu Road, Minquan Road, and XinFu Road to the event venue.
