The New Taipei Christmas Concert kicks off on December 22, featuring performances by Lu Guangzhong and Guo Jing first.

During the over one-month event period of the New Taipei City Happy Christmas Town, various performances such as the Christmas Broadway and Christmas Waltz are planned, and the highlights of this event—the Happy Christmas Concert and the Christmas Street Carnival—will also take place on December 22 and 23 at the Civic Square. The artists participating in this concert include S.H.E, Rainie Yang, Amber An, Cyndi Wang, Wilber Pan, Lu Guangzhong, and Yoga Lin, among other top-tier lineups. The Street Carnival will feature 30 teams formed by the public, including Grandma’s Samba Troupe, Taiwan Sun Theater, and the New Taipei City Fire Department's "Mighty Men Team," setting off from Zhongshan 1st Road toward the New Taipei City Civic Square on December 23.

The lineup for the 2012 New Taipei City Happy Christmas Town concert series has been revealed. The performing artist groups include Amber An, Yenj, Guo Jing, Wilber Pan, and Lu Guangzhong on the first day, and S.H.E, Rainie Yang, Cyndi Wang, Aaron Yan, Lu Guangzhong, Luan Tan A-Xiang, Yoga Lin, Xu Jialing, and Lin Junyi on the second day. They will take the stage to perform from 19:00 to 22:00 on December 22 and from 18:00 to 22:30 on December 23. Additionally, both days of the Christmas concert will be live-streamed on TVBS Happy Channel and simultaneously broadcast on the TVBS YouTube channel.

As for last year’s highly acclaimed Christmas Street Carnival, this year’s event will also kick off at 15:30 on December 23, proceeding along Zhongshan Road all the way to the New Taipei City Civic Square. With the theme “Dream & Love,” the event has seen enthusiastic public participation. From the average age of over 70 Ganjiao Grandma’s Samba Troupe to the youngest Hejia Ren Kindergarten Band, everyone is gearing up for the street parade. The popular New Taipei City Fire Department's Mighty Men Team from the previous edition will also make an appearance this year, accompanied by well-trained police dogs. In addition, the young members of Taiwan Sun Theater will perform fire-eating, sword-swallowing, and human levitation acts, among other circus shows.
